The Morning Post: Avalanche!!!

Many people underestimate the likelihood of avalanches, and most don't know how much damage they are actually capable of causing!

(You're average avalanche. It looks fluffy and almost innocent, but don't be deceived!! Truly they are natural killers!!)

Avalanches are more common than you'd think. They occur more than 20 times an hour!!

Recently, a few travelers got caught up in an earthquake. Here's the bone-chilling story. I mean avalanche.

7 people caught in avalanche in B.C., 1 hurt

  5. Avalanches in BC are quite common sadly, sort of the expectation in the rockies I suppose however.

  6. When we drove through the rockies during the spring time, last year, there were signs everywhere along the Trans Canada saying "DO NOT STOP" because of avalanches. We saw a few fresh ones along the sides of mountains a bit off of the highway...Beautiful country. But if you ever drive around the end of April, it's prime avalanche time.
